H. bacteriophora

Heterorhabditis bacteriophora In greenhouse applications, targets curculionids (True weevils and bark beetles) such as the Black vine weevil (Otiorhynchus sulcatus).  For soil applications, targets soil dwelling and boring insect larvae (AKA stationary pests). It will provide control for many species of moths, butterflies, beetles and flies. The most important target hosts in turf and open field crops in United States are the Japanese Beetle (Popillia japonica), the European Chafer (Rhizotrogus majalis), the Asiatic Garden Beetle (Maladera castanea), and May/June Beetles (Phyllophaga spp.), and other pests such as grubs, root zone weevils, citrus weevils, ticks, queen ants, termites and more.

H. bacteriophora possesses considerable versatility, attacking lepidopterous and coleopterous insect larvae, among other insects. This cruiser species has provided consistently excellent results in containerized soil. A warm temperature nematode, H. bacteriophora shows reduced efficacy when soil drops below 20°C.
